金属価格の高騰を背景に、電線やエアコン室外機などを狙った金属盗難が全国的に増えています。ニセコ地域でも、見慣れないトラックが目撃されています。

9月14日には近隣の蘭越町で、廃業したホテルから銅線を盗もうとしたとして2人が逮捕されました。きっかけは、住民の方からの「不審な車がいる」という通報でした。地域の皆さまの目が、被害を防ぐ大きな力になります。

🔍 狙われやすいもの
・電線（建物への引込線・配線）
・エアコン室外機・給湯器（銅管や部品）
・空き家・休業中の建物（廃業施設・別荘も）

🚚 夜間や休業中の建物のまわりで、見慣れないトラック・人を見かけたら
1️⃣ 近づかない：声をかけず、安全を第一に
2️⃣ メモする：車種・色・ナンバー・人数
3️⃣ 警察へ通報：緊急時は110番

【⚠️ Beware of Metal Theft】

With metal prices soaring, thefts of power lines, air-conditioner outdoor units and other metal items are rising across Japan, and unfamiliar trucks have been spotted in the Niseko area.

On September 14 in neighbouring Rankoshi Town, two people were arrested on suspicion of attempting to steal copper wire from a closed hotel. The arrest came after a local resident reported a suspicious vehicle.

🔍 Common targets
・Power lines (service lines and wiring to buildings)
・AC outdoor units and water heaters (copper pipes and parts)
・Vacant or closed buildings, including holiday homes

🚚 If you see an unfamiliar truck or person around buildings at night or closed properties:
1️⃣ Don't approach – your safety comes first
2️⃣ Take notes – vehicle model, colour, plate number, number of people
3️⃣ Call the police – dial 110 in an emergency

⚡ Never touch cut power lines. There is a risk of electric shock. Please contact the police and Hokkaido Electric Power Network (0120-06-0599).
